Senators call for civil disobedience

Senators Evalière Beauplan (PONT, Northwest) and Fritz Carlos Lebon (INITE, South) have invited the population to rally against the elections of next Sunday, to civil disobedience in protest against Sunday's elections. The Séateur Beauplan invites citizens to barricade their neighborhoods to prevent traffic from this Friday, as for the Senator Lebon, e threatens to prevent, together with the group of 15 senators, the swearing in of the President that will emerge from these elections.

André Michel intends to defy the ban on demonstrations

Me André Michel, candidate for president under the banner of JISTIS platform, rejected the statements of Prime Minister Evans Paul which banned demonstrations from Friday midnight until next Monday. While 8 Haitian national observation organizations out of 10 refuse to observe the elections of this Sunday, Prime Minister Evans Paul recalled on a radio station in the capital that "observation is not indispensable, although provided for in the Electoral Decree."
