Haiti - Elections : Mario Dupuy, concerned but not worried

Monday, Mario Dupuy, the Minister of Communication, speaking on a radio of the capital about the elections declared "Given the current political situation, there is reason to be concerned about, but not be worried [... ] on the evening of October 25, everyone was unanimous in congratulating Haiti for the holding of elections. Too many observers do not understand the motives of certain political decisions," stating "in each electoral system [worldwide] there is a litigation system for dealing with related issues."

Minister Dupuy also stressed "We must avoid excesses contrary, the agenda of a group is not necessarily the national agenda."

About the Independent Electoral Commission of Evaluation he recalled that "[...] the Commission was set up at the request of a candidate qualified [Jude Célestin] to the 2nd round. Not yet constituted, it has been challenged," adding "we can not ask one thing and its opposite! [...] To the surprise of many, the Government has chosen not to interfere in the electoral process. The Evaluation Electoral Commission can not invent results. The work of the Evaluation Commission will dispel doubts in the population, in terms of the electoral process."

Finally the Minister Dupuy wished a very good year 2016 marked of success, more results and unity to the entire population !
