Haiti - Justice : 41 new graduates in Law enter the Bar School

41 new law graduates constituting the 5th Promotion "François Luxembourg Covin" joined the Bar School of Port-au-Prince last week, after the swearing-in ceremony where future lawyers, have committed to honor the profession.

After the ceremony, Me Stanley Gaston, the president of the Bar of Port-au-Prince reminded the students of the 5th Promotion, that if their level did not correspond to their degree, they will encounter serious difficulties in the Bar School. Deploring that the education system and higher education, accuse considerable deficiencies that have negative effects on the Bar and hinder the accomplishment of its mission.

Without tolerance towards some schools and universities teaching law, he pointed the finger without naming them, those that "issue with lightly licenses to students," adding that in the 18 bars of the Republic, "the initiative continues to prevent bar associations, against the dangers of incompetence [...]"
