It is with a spirit of disinterest that Manno Charlemagne (Joseph Emmanuel Charlemagne) and Konpè Filo (Anthony Pascal) withdrew from the Commission [they were replaced by Me Gédéon Jean (representing the human rights sector) and the Pastor Louis Armand (representing the Protestant Church)]

The Government guarantees all the independence to this commission and initiatives aimed at bring out the truth. We all have a responsibility to preserve the image of Haiti. A country is built in peace, the agreement between the rival forces. We are united by a common destiny : the stability," declared the Prime Minister, recalling that "The executive has not formed a Commission. He has acted on the recommendations of the stakeholders. What is important is to create political stability. February 7 is an important date. So it is important to have a new elected president," concluding by stating "This is an independent commission which is free to give terms of reference."
