Haiti - Social : Big Christmas Village on the Champ-de-Mars

The Ministry of Culture, together with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour (MAST), is organizing on 22, 23 and 24 December in Place Pétion, Champ-de-Mars, the first big "Christmas Village" of the metropolitan area.

Realized as part of a collaboration with the MAST and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), the Christmas Village aims to enable the population in general and children in particular, to celebrate exceptional Christmas holidays.

The program of the three days was designed to accommodate and please people of all ages. Between exhibition of handicrafts, musical entertainment and Christmas show in the evenings, acrobats and clowns will also be present, to create a magical atmosphere under the guidance of the "bande à Pipo".

"The Christmas season should remain a period of serenity and conviviality where all differences disappear in favor of social peace. The Government who is well aware, proposes to offer the public a space of fraternisation and entertainment," explained Dithny Joan Raton, the Minister of Culture.

Note that similar events, supported by the Ministry of Culture will take place in parallel in other cities, including in Les Cayes, Jacmel, Gonaïves, Cap-Haitien,

The Ministry of Culture relies on the cooperation and participation of everyone to make this event an outstanding success.
