Thursday, InterCaribbean Airways, based in Turks & Caicos, one of the leading airlines in the Caribbean announced the opening of new roads from Antigua and Barbuda to Santo Domingo and Port-au-Prince and from the Providenciales Islands to Cuba.

"Since Wednesday, residents from Antigua and Barbuda can go directly into the Dominican and Haitian capital and vice versa; while residents of Providenciales or those of Havana (Cuba) can do it starting Thursday," declared Lyndon Gardiner, Founder and President of InterCaribbean Airways.

With these new flights, InterCaribbean Airways (27th years of existence), increases its list of destinations to 18 cities across the Caribbean (domestic and international flights) connecting to the international Turcks & Caicos Islands to the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica and Puerto Rico.

Recall that the latest data from the Association of Caribbean Tourism (ACT) indicate that the number of tourists visiting the Caribbean in the first half of the year increased by 5.8% (800,000 visitors) compared to 2014 this growth could reach up to 6% by the end of this year.
