A transitional government, only option for FUSION

Edmonde Supplice Beauzile, President of the Party of Haitian Social Democrats (FUSION), says that "Only a broad consultation between the vital forces of the nation can allow us to find the appropriate formula to pass this difficult cap, to reach an agreement on a pact of governability in order to restart the democratic project on new and sound foundations," adding that "The FUSION believes that the behavior of power and of CEPleave no other option to out of the crisis that the establishment of a transitional government for a period of two years as soon as possible to shorten the suffering of the people and begin as quickly the reconstruction of the Haitian Nation."

The CEP met Jovenel Moïse

Wednesday the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) met Jovenel Moïse, presidential candidate of the Haitian Tèt Kale Party (PHTK) who was accompanied by members of his team. The discussion was held about the second round of presidential elections and in particular on the administration of elections in order to strengthen the electoral process to in order to make it more transparent. Was also discussed the electoral fraud and irregularities, of representatives and treatment of minutes. Jovenel Moïse hoped that corrections will be made before December 27.

Mr. Rosny Desroches, Executive Director of the Civil Society Initiative (ISC) and member of the Citizen Observatory for Institutionalizing Democracy (OCID), calls the CEP to find a formula in order to put in place the G8 verification proposal. As for the proposal of forming a transitional government made by former Senate President Simon Desras Dieuseul and several other politicians, he says rather in favor of the continuation and safeguarding of the electoral process.
