Jude Célestin was born June 19, 1962 in Port-au-Prince. He did his primary studies at the Petit Séminaire College Saint-Martial and his secondary studies at the College Fernand Prosper and at Secondary Education Centre of Pradel Pompilus.

He left the country to continue his university studies first at Freiburg and then Lausanne (Switzerland) where he chose mechanical engineering. Jude Celestin also followed Human Resources Management courses at the National Institute of Administration Management and International Studies (INAGHEI) and management seminars abroad, including Japan.

In 1985, Jude Célestin was appointed engineer in charge of production at the "Minoterie d’Haïti". He left the company to pursue his studies and set up his own consulting mechanical and construction company "JC Construction".

Thereafter, he returned to the "Minoterie" to successively occupy the functions of responsible for mechanical work,Co-Director and Plant Director.

In 1998, he left definitively, the "Minoterie" to enter the Préval Government where he National Centre of Equipment (CNE) whose he became its Director General. Under his leadership, several achievements are to bear to his credit among others, he encouraged under his direction, positive discrimination by forming 517 women in the use of heavy machinery which made him very popular at the time.

During the second term of President Préval, Jude Célestin was appointed advisor to the President, in infrastructur. In 2010 he ran as candidate for the presidency under the banner of the political platform "INITE", but failed to get elected.

In 2015, Jude Célestin is again running for president under the banner of "Alternative League for Progress and the Haitian Empowerment" (LAPEH).

He advocates the reconstruction of Downtown of Port-au-Prince, job creation, training of middle executives, strengthening of Haitian culture, agriculture upgrading, improving the plight of street children of Port-au-Prince.

He said that the economic and social development of Haiti will be based on the following strategic areas :

• The institutional restructuring of large state powers ;

• The construction of an open, competitive economy, supporting growth and jobs ;

• The creation of conditions for development of Haitian citizen and human capital ;

• The eradication of corruption in all sectors of Haitian society ;

• A new foreign policy.
