Haiti - Elections : The Minister of Education invites the presidential candidates

Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of National Education invited in a letter, the candidates for the Presidency, for a high-level meeting Friday, October 16, on various important aspects related to the issue of education in Haiti.

"In your capacity as candidates [...] it is necessary that you are informed of developments concerning the overhaul of our education system and that you associated with the current thinking on some future actions, particularly" indicates the letter of invitation .

On the agenda of this meeting: the adoption and the upcoming launch of a National Pact for Quality Education in Haiti; the reform of higher education: training and professional integration of youth and education funding.

"It should be recalled that the National Pact for Quality Education in Haiti is the result of long and intense discussions between representatives of the State and Civil Society in general, including teacher unions https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15429-haiti-education-towards-a-national-pact-for-quality-education.html [...] I would highly appreciate that you can personally respond to this invitation which also extends to two or three candidates for Deputy and Senate of your political organization," concludes the invitation of Minister Manigat.
