Haiti - FLASH : Gunmen attacked the PHTK campaign caravan

Friday, two days after the launch of the campaign of the Platform Parti Haïtien Tèt Kale (PHTK) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15175-haiti-elections-official-launch-of-the-presidential-campaign-of-phtk.html armed individuals prevented a gathering of supporters and sympathizers of the movement Tèt Kale.

At approximately 7:00 pm, members and supporters of PHTK were attacked by armed individuals, unidentified, in the commune of Limbé (department of North) during the passage of the caravan of the presidential campaign. The attack occurred just minutes before arrival at the scene of presidential candidate, Jovenel Moïse.

The team of the Platform PHTK had to take cover to avoid the worst and was forced to postpone the meeting to a later date.

"Despite these intimidation attempts and anti-democratic practices, the Platform PHTK will not drop the arms 'Nou Fenk Kare Travay'," affirms the communications office of the Platform.
