In a statement, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) inform the general public, political parties, political groups and candidates in particular "that the candidate for deputy of Delmas, Ernst Jeudy under the banner National Rally of Democrats Volunteers for the Unity Salvatrice (RANDEVOUS), was removed from the list of approved candidates to participate in legislative elections, for having communicated to the Council false information, act that constitutes a crime under articles 209 and following of the Electoral Decree.

The Council, wishing to ensure strict compliance with constitutional provisions and those of the Electoral Decree of March 2, 2015, was able to inform themselves that the named Ernst Jeudy was convicted and sentenced for possession and cocaine trafficking by Miami -Dade County, in the United States of America in 1987.

Consequently, his case will be brought in front the competent criminal courts for legal purposes."
