On Wednesday, the city of Mirebalais in the Central Department, has experienced tensions following the arrest and imprisonment of three parliamentary candidates for that constituency : Jean Claude Lubin  of the Plateform Pitit Dessalines, Fontal Dorélien of Fanmi Lavalas and Jean Franchy Desgrottes, Plateform VERITE, are accused of having incited their supporters to sack several public offices in this town in the aftermath of the first round of partial elections. Of violent clashes between the police and members of the population have made this afternoon one wounded by a bullet.
