Any sensitive materials have arrived

71 pallets totaling 5,248,960 ballots, it is the content of the last batch of sensitive materials for the West Department, arrived Wednesday, July 29 at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince. The plane came from Dubai where are manufactured these precious materials that will allow Haitians to elect 118 deputies and 2/3 of the Senate during the first round of legislative, August 9, 2015.

Small financing of political parties

The Provisional Electoral Council informs the political parties and groups that within the framework of the subsidy of the electoral campaign, financing forms, duly completed by their legal representatives, must be submitted to the Administrative Board of the Directorate-General Budget of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Leaders of several political parties who flock since Monday with their form of subsidy demand, deplore the low amount allocated by the State for the electoral campaign, a consequence of the split between too many parties (over 150). On the other hand, they criticize the late arrival of this financial assistance, a few days before the election (August 9, 2015).

VERITE takes the street once again

Wednesday, several hundred supporters of the VERITE Platform takes the street of Port-au-Prince to demand the reinstatement of Jacky Lumarque in the presidential race and also denouncing systematic attacks against candidates of their platform. VERITE announces two new demonstration days throughout the country on 8th and 9th August to continue to demand the reinstatement of Jacky Lumarque.

Operation and numbers of call center

The Provisional Electoral Council informs the political parties and groups in general and people in particular, that a call center, operating daily from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm allows the voter to identify the voting center where it should vote. Furthermore, the Council strongly encourages everyone to call 8828, for subscribers of the NATCOM and 8830 for those of DIGICEL, by providing the operator with all the numbers of its Idenification National Card (CIN) for the identification of its voting center. The 8829 numbers (NATCOM) and 8831 (Digicel) are reserved for SMS.
