A competition that went wrong for our young hopeful, who finished in last place. In the clean and jerk Medgina managed its first attempt with 101kg then missed the next two to 105 kg. In the snatch she managed first and second attempt respectively 80kg and 85 kg, but missed the hird to 88kg.

The gold medal was won by Colombian Leidy Yessenia Solis Arbodeda with 111 kg in the snatch and 145 kg in the clean and jerk (Pan Am record). The silver by the Colombian Neisi Dajomes Barrera with 100 kg in the snatch and 125 kg in the clean and jerk and bronze by the Mexican Aremi Fuentes with 98 kg in the snatch and 125 kg in the clean and jerk.

Let's recall that Medgina participated in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games in the under 75 kg, at the 2014 Pan American weightlifting championships in the under 69 kg and became the first athlete from Haiti to compete at the world youth championships in 2011.
