Haiti - NOTICE : Update of measures to prevent Ebola in Haiti

Following the appearance of new cases of Ebola in Liberia, Dr. Florence D. Guillaume, Minister of Public Health and Population (MSPP), in order to protect Haiti from the introduction of this viral disease on its territory, informs that the Ministry decided to replace this West Africa country (which had been withdrawn in May) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13955-haiti-notice-update-of-measures-against-ebola.html in the list of risk countries such as Sierra Leone and Guinea-Conakry.

The same recommendations are still in force and all those who traveled in the countries mentioned will not be able and should not seek to return to Haiti before a minimum period of 21 days after leaving the affected country (ies).

The Ministry of Health recalls that the Ministry of Interior will ensure that the 21-day incubation period is scrupulously respected at ports and airports in Haiti.

Anyone who has traveled to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea-Conakry, with symptoms of Ebola, en route or after arrival in Haiti, even after the 21 days required, should immediately consult a physician to protect his health, immediate environment and the country as a whole.
