Monday : Visit of Sophia Martelly at the border :

Sophia Martelly went to the border, specifically in Tête-à-l’eau, a town of Anse-à-Pitre in the Southeast. In addition to health care provided by the team from the mobile clinic, accompanied among others by the Minister of the Interior, Dr. Ariel Henry, she visited several compatriots returning from the Dominican Republic, to interview them and identify their immediate needs. More than 600 people were seen by medical specialists of the Employment Injury, Sickness and Maternity Insurance Office (OFATMA) and were able to receive drugs for this third visit of the First Lady in the area.

Tuesday : Meeting with a delegation of MSF :

The First Lady received in audience at the National Palace, a delegation of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) composed of the Secretary General, Jérôme Oberreit, the Head of Mission, Mr. Azaad Alocco and of Responsible for Institutional Relations, Thomas Lahousse. During this interview, in which has also participated Dr. Florence Guillaume, Minister of Health, MSF officials made a presentation of their work in Haiti, especially in the field of management of medical emergencies.

Saturday : National Critical Care and Trauma Complex :

Accompanied by the Minister of Health, and the Head of Project Medishare, the Dr Barth Green the wife of President Martelly, laid the first stone of what will be one of the largest trauma centers in the Caribbean "the National Critical Care and Trauma Complex", in the locality of Duvivier, commune of Cité Soleil https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14395-haiti-health-national-critical-care-and-trauma-complex-of-international-standard.html The Centre, which will strengthen the health system in Haiti will focus on major trauma, cerebral vascular accidents, burn victims, and maternal and child emergencies.

Thursday : Visit of Traumatology Centre of MSF Belgium :

At the Doctors Without Borders-Belgium initiative, the First Lady and the Minister of Health visited the premises of the trauma center MSF Belgium in Haiti located in Tabarre.

Friday : An initiative to eliminate AIDS :

Sophia Martelly received a delegation of the Ministry of Health, UNAIDS and UNICEF for a presentation on the initiative "All In", whose objective is to eliminate the AIDS epidemic among teenagers 10-19 years by 2030 and which intends bring together all sectors of national life for more implications in the prevention of this disease.
