Haiti - Social : The Lycée Marie-Jeanne, winner of the music competition «Kenbe tèt ou»

As part of the civic education campaign and of civic values, organized jointly by the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Youth, the Group "Angel’s Voice" composed of 9 young of the Lycée Marie-Jeanne won the Palm of the contest of text, songs and music around the mobilizing slogan "Kenbe Tèt ou" inspired by the song of Croup BIC "Kenbe tèt ou, kwè nan tèt ou, kraze bèt ou".

Recall that this competition, launched in late March 2015, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13491-haiti-social-civic-education-campaign-for-youth.html aimed to develop talent in young people, and instill the values of respect, solidarity, dialogue and sharing. It should also contribute to learn to live together, to the quest for excellence and of work well done.

Selected from a hundred groups participating in the competition, Angel's Voice won the competition face to 9 other finalists competitors.

Angel Voices Lycée Marie Jeanne Port-au-Prince :

Accompanied by ten artists (BIC, Jean-Jean Roosevelt, Belo, Rénette Désir, Princesse Eud, Tamara Suffren, K-Libr, Farah Joseph, Cynthia Michel, Tamara Bertrand) which have also acted as jury, the youth in competition offered a superb spectacle. Respect of the theme, message content, aesthetics, melody, song interpretation are among the criteria that motivated the selection of jury members. BIC, acknowledged the difficulty of the jury to choose the winner of the first contest among the many artists in herbs, which have received several prime among other books, tablets, laptops, as well as scholarships.

Very proud and happy of the performance of these young people, the Minister Nesmy Manigat and his colleague Jimmy Albert plead for the continuity of this civic education campaign within the society, in order to guide young people outside of violence and unhealthy things.
