Haiti - Tourism : End of the American tour of MTIC 05/06/2015 12:20:25
After having launched in February, a TV campaign to promote tourism in Haiti to the United States, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) ends this Friday a representation tour (Roadshow) of the country, began on May 27, in different US cities as part of the follow-up campaign https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13175-haiti-tourism-today-haiti-has-just-taken-a-giant-step-dixit-stephanie-villedrouin.html This "Roadshow" took place mainly in the cities of Atlanta, Missouri, Orlando, Miami, Boston, Connecticut and New York and consisted in a series of traveling conferences, who presented the potential of Haiti to the American public and to the Haitians living abroad in order to attract them to visit the destination. The delegation was composed of members of the Haitian private sector and tourism of MTIC executives amon others : Pascale Hilaire, Coordinator of the Travel Department, Promotions and Events of the Ministry, accompanied by Rachel Moscosso Denis, Project Manager, Christian Fombrun for Kinam Hotel, Ioulia Iaroch for Royal Decameron Indigo and Charles Fombrun for Moulin sur Mer. For her part, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism has joined the delegation in the presentations in Orlando, Miami and Boston. This "roadshow" of Haiti on American soil, was made possible through the support of some corporate sponsors that support the enhancement of tourism in Haiti including: Air France, JetBlue, Café Rebo, Café Sélecto, Rhum Barbancourt. Note that this advertising campaign is broadcast on US television channels in the cities of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut in the goal of attracting US travelers.
