Friday, Jean Wilnor Pierre, Director of Basic Education (DEF), indicated that he Ministry of National Education, will organize on 29 May, an evaluation test at the 4th year fundamental in 3 disciplines mathematics, French and Creole.

He recalled that this decision followed the 12 measures of Minister Nesmy Manigat to reform the education sector, published in August 2014, including the measure #3 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11781-haiti-education-exam-results-disappointing-the-minister-manigat-announced-a-package-of-measures.html

He stated that this test was not a final exam, but aimed rather to allow the Ministry of Education, to measure the degree of achievement of educational objectives of the 4th year fundamental, in order to adopt if necessary of measures to improve the system.
