Haiti - Politic : Senate sessions resume soon ?

That's what hope Clérié Michel, Vice-President of the Senate, who said Friday, that contacts were underway with the opposition senators for the good of the Nation and the resumption of sessions in the Senate

Recall that the meetings of the main body (grand corps) are suspended, since the passage of the law on the state of emergency in May, where the block of the senators of the opposition had shown Kelly Bastien, the president of the Senate for violating internal rules of the Senate.

No confirmation of these contacts within the senators of the minority who, although favorable to the resumption of the sessions of the Upper House, always condition their returns to the election of a new office.

Concerning this condition, the Senator Clérié believes, that it would be better to await the election of November, of the 11 new senators before organizing this election. He recalled that records relating to boards of directors of the Central Bank and BNC, as well as the Banking Act are still pending, despite their importance.
