The Literary Prize Henri Deschamps celebrating this year its 40th years of existence and presents its compliments to the writers to the literature enthusiasts and the public in general. This contest is open to all Haitians, whether aspiring writer, French and/or Creole-speaking resident in the country or abroad, as long as the submitted manuscript has never been published previously. The number of pages of the manuscript is left to the discretion of the author.

The Laureate receives a certificate and a cash prize of 150,000 gourdes. La Maison Henri Deschamps will be the exclusive publisher of the winning work, which will remain the intellectual property of the author. In addition, the winner will receive a promotional support during the 12 months following the publication of his book.

General provisions for participation in the literary contest 2015 :

• The Prize is open to all genres in French or Creole ;

• The right to participation is free and open to all authors of both sexes whether they live in Haiti or abroad ;

• The manuscript deadline for submission is set at Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

• The works already published as well as the winners of a previous Literary Prize Henri Deschamps are not admitted to the contest ;

• Only one manuscript is accepted by application ;
