This late Friday afternoon at the Royal Oasis hotel, the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) will launch a month of activities to celebrate the National Day of the Diaspora (JND). Recall that by presidential decree signed by the Council of Ministers on 16 March 2011, the date of April 20 was enacted, National Day of the Diaspora.

This day dedicated to diaspora, is the culmination of various approaches of MHAVE with the executive, following extensive meetings held including : in the United States, Canada, Spain, Switzerland, France, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, as part of the promotion of new relations between Haiti and its diaspora, to meet the expectations of both parties.

During this month of activity, the MHAVE is considering celebrations abroad. Thus, several Haitian diaspora organizations residing in particular in : Paris, New York, Montreal and Santo Domingo will welcome delegations from MHAVE.
