Haiti - Tourism : Visit of Indran Natanyagam from the US Embassy in the North

Indran Natanyagam, Counselor for Public Affairs of the Embassy of the United States in Haiti paid a visit in the North past weekend. Accompanied among others of Dieudonnne Étienne Luma, Regional Director North Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) and Dithny Joan Raton, the Minister of Culture, the American diplomat came to discover the tourist potential of the destination.

He visited the National Historical Park (the Citadelle Henry, the palace Sans Souci and the Sites of Ramiers) as well as the historic city center of Cap-Haitien. He said he was surprised at the splendor of some of the tourist attractions of the destination. Before all the progress he has seen in the destination, Indran Natanyagam has reiterated his support to the Ministry of Tourism.

The objective of this mission was to see also how to reconcile tourism and culture for a better visitor experience in the Destination Nord. The minister Raton (former Director of MTIC in the Southeast), has pledged its full support to the Northern Bureau of MTIC, as part of the realization of certain projects.
