Haiti - NOTICE : EU launches a program and a competition for young people

As part of the European Development Days 2015 (EDD 15), the European Union (EU), is launching a call for candidates to young leaders of tomorrow and a competition for young photographers.

Future Leaders Program :

Young people actively contribute to the fight against poverty through projects and innovative initiatives. The European Union wants to recognize this contribution andput their achievements in the spotlight: The European Development Days 2015 (EDD 15) will invite 12 outstanding young people, aged 21 to 26 years in Brussels (Belgium), to speak before a high-level panel on a topic they're passionate about, along with other world leaders.

Program registration :

Applicants must submit their applications onwww.eudevdays.eu/futureleaders before March 18, 2015.

Photo Contest "Our future is on the table" :

The EDD 15 launch "Youth Photo Contest" on the relationship between diet and sustainable development. Young people aged 15 to 25 from all over the world are invited to submit photos and a short story to explain their vision of how food affects our future in three different categories: the environment, society, or economy.

The six finalists talented (one per continent) will be announced April 22, 2015 and will win a paid trip to Brussels to attend the EDD 15, where their photos will be exhibited.
