Haiti - Reconstruction : The President Martelly at Wharf Jérémie and to the new premises of CIMO
Tuesday, President Michel Martelly accompanied by his wife Sophia Martelly, Prime Minister, Evans Paul, Pierre Richard Casimir, the Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Rothchild Francis Jr., Minister of Communication among others, conducted an inspection visit to the Wharf Jérémie located in the town of Cité Soleil and the new premises of the Body Intervention and Maintenance of Order (CIMO) in Delmas 2.

The President who led the large delegation, walked along the Boulevard La Saline until Wharf Jérémie, to the cheers of a large crowd jubilant.

Recall that the work at Wharf Jérémie, one of the greatest social and community infrastructure projects in the country [all the details : https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10559-haiti-reconstruction-towards-the-metamorphosis-of-wharf-jeremie-cite-soleil.html ] are funded through the PetroCaribe funds to the tune of 20.6 million US dollars.



The Head of State said he was satisfied with the progress of the work and hoped that this infrastructure contributes to the development of the town of Cité Soleil. The construction of Wharf Jérémie, launched September 24, 2013 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-9522-haiti-reconstruction-launching-of-works-at-wharf-jeremie-cite-soleil.html whose work began in November 2013, will be completed in September 2015, according to the engineers in charge of the site.

The official delegation led by the Head of State, then went in Delmas 2, on the premises of the Body Intervention and Maintenance of Order (CIMO). Welcomed by the Directeur General and members of the police force, the President Martelly visited the different sections of the new building which must accommodate the specialized unit of the National Police of Haiti (PNH).

This new 3-storey building of over 1,500 square meters, which will be fully equipped, will have shots hall, dormitories for up to 400 police officers, cafeteria and sports facilities, will cost 4.5 million US $ https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10094-haiti-politic-the-villa-d-accueil-and-the-new-base-of-cimo-under-construction.html



This new infrastructure falls within the framework of the various actions taken by the Martelly administration to improve the working conditions of PNH officers.
