Haiti - Health : Evans Paul alongside police officers injured in the exercise of their functions

On Monday, Prime Minister Evans Paul, accompanied by the First Lady Sophia Martelly, Dr. Florence Guillaume, the Minister of Public Health and Godson Orélus, Director General of the National Police of Haiti paid a courtesy visit to Hospital Bernard Mevs, with which the National Police of Haiti (PNH) has partnered for emergency care to its injured officers in the exercise of their duties.

The Head of Government took the opportunity to renew its solidarity with the officers of the PNH injured in the performance of their duties. He also took the opportunity to launch an appeal for calm, vigilance, respect for property and physical integrity of another person and remember that the mission of the police is to serve the public and crack, in accordance with the law, against those who disturb public order and peace.

This visit was also an opportunity for Paul Evans of pay tribute to "the Haitian and foreign doctors working within the health system to deliver quality care to the neediest communities."
