"The Executive Council of the State University of Haiti (CE/UEH) has learned with dismay the death threats against the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (FAMV), via telephone calls and SMS, accusing him wrongly, of having opposed to the installation of the new Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR) and the Secretary of State for Agrarian Reform and that of the Agricultural Recovery.

The CE/UEH condemns in the strongest possible this situation, deleterious and invites the judicial authorities to engage in public action against the perpetrators of such acts.

In addition, the CE/UEH request the authorities concerned to ensure the safety of the Dean.
