Haiti - Diaspora : New Director General at MHAVE

Wednesday Olicier Pieriche, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) has proceeded to the installation in office, of the new Director General of the Ministry, Patrick Edouard Valmé. He takes over from Marc-Elie Nelson with whom he has had the opportunity to work as a former Chief of Staff of the former Minister of MHAVE, François Guillaume II.

In his speech of circumstance, the Minister invited Patrick Edouard Valmé,to ardently working to produce results "I am aware that there are major challenges and obstacles of every kind that await us, but we will overcome them ogether, and in the collective interest, give results."

In his speech, Edouard Valmé, is committed to even closer the Diaspora to the Ministry. "[...] I will try to apply the Minister's policy while proposing the Diaspora mechanisms focused on sustainable development, on the transmission of knowledge to promote the rapprochement between our Haitian brothers from the inside and the outside.

The MHAVE must touch all the Diaspora as part of a vast campaign of education and awareness; particularly to project a new image outside the country.

[...] I will be at the listening of the Diaspora to transmit you their grievances and facilitate appropriate responses to specific needs. I remind you dear compatriots of the Diaspora, that the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad is your reception center in Haiti, we are here to guide and support you in all your efforts."
