Wednesday, Dr. Florence Duperval Guillaume, Minister of Public Health and Population, accompanied by Uder Antoine, General Coordinator of the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH) met : Jim Mc Govern, Frederica Wilson, Elijah Cummings, Wasserman Schutz, members of the US Congress and US Senator Bill Nelson, to inform them about the important advances in the health sector in Haiti, but also to explain the many challenges, that remain to be addressed in this sector.

It was also an opportunity for the Minister Guillaume, to thank on behalf of the Government of Haiti, the US Government for its contribution, particularly in the improvement of the health sector, but also to continue to advocate that all Haitians have access to health care.

Mental health, maternal and child health and HIV treatment access were among others, some of the topics discussed at this meeting.
