Haiti - Tourism : Monitoring of the development of the Basin Zim

Friday Maryse Noël, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), in a joint press conference with partners involved in the implementation of the development project of site of Bassin Zim, made a technical presentation of the project and reported on the status of work already done, with the financial support of the European Union to the tune of 40,000 euros. Note that the Bassin Zim (Hinche, Centre), is one of the sites of circuit of the "water route", a theme developed by the Ministry of Tourism.

So far, a welcome center and a toilet block have already been built on the site under the supervision of the City of Hinche and MTIC. Parking, picnic area and stone staircases leading to the caves of the site, are under development.

Maryse Noël indicated that in addition to the phase of site development, MTIC, would continue to support local residents by setting up training programs for the youth of the region.

Have intervened in particular at this press conference, in addition to MTIC: Philippe Emmanuel, Mayor of Hinche; Stanley Jean Baptiste, the Departmental Director of Fund for Economic and Social Assistance (FAES) ; Brigandi Raphael, Political Affairs Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) and Edouard Paultre the Representative of the Haitian Council of Non-State Actors (CONHANE).
