Friday, Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, attended the inauguration of the extension of 103 rooms of Karibe hotel in in the presence of Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) and Mayor Yvanka Jolicoeur Brutus, acting Executive agent of Petion-Ville.

The Head of Government sent its warmest congratulations to Richard Buteau, CEO of the hotel and President of the Tourist Association of Haiti (ATH) for this initiative that demonstrates according to him, his faith in the future of Haiti. "This investment will create jobs at different levels in the country," while also stressing the Government's efforts to encourage new investment in Haiti and reiterated the commitment of his Government to maintain the political stability necessary for investment.

For his part, Richard Buteau has thanked all those who helped make the hotel a nice place to stay and welcomed the policy implemented by the Government Martelly/Lamothe "who created tangible opportunities in the tourism sector," recalling that 19 million US dollars have been invested to enable the Karibe hotel, add 103 rooms to the property, which now has 190.

The minister Villedrouin, stressed that the extension to the hotel is likely to attract the one hand, tourists in the country and also to project a respectable and positive image of Haiti on the international stage without forgot to mention that the Karibe hotel is an institution that has received five hibiscus for the quality of its services.
