The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTCI) unveiled the results of the classification of hotels in Haiti. We thus learn that 5 hotels (441 rooms in total) get 5 hibicus the equivalent of international stars : Best Western Premier, Haiti El Rancho, Hôtel Royal Oasis, Karibe Convention Center and The Inn at Villa Bambou and that 7 other hotel establishments (380 rooms in total) get 4 hibiscus : Abaka Bay Resort, Habitation Jouissant, Hôtel Montana, Hôtel Port-Morgan, Le Plaza hôtel, Servotel and Village d’Ennery.

In addition, 52 hotels receive 3 hibiscus (1,743 rooms in total), 92 received two hibiscus (1,985 rooms in total) and 21 hotels received only 1 hibiscus (311 rooms in total).

The establishments classified represents 51% of all available rooms in Haiti.

Out a total of 525 hotels in Haiti, 177 meet the classification criteria of the Ministry of Tourism. It should be noted that beyond the hotel criteria, to be eligible for classification, it was necessary that the accommodation is in good standing with in particular the DGI.

The results concerning the 7 departments show that 348 out of 525 hotels are not ranked. They represent a capacity of 4,629 rooms.
