As part of the eighteenth edition of the Caribbean Nations Cup, after having recovered well from their draw [2-2] against Antigua by crushing last Friday Martinique [3-0] (Wilde Donald Guerrier 60’ and a double of Kervens Fils Belfort 62’ and 90’), Grenadiers had rendedvous Sunday at 8:00 pm at the "Montego Bay Sports Complex" (Jamaica) to face the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica, winners against Antigua [3-0].

Sunday against Jamaica, the Grenadiers despite 7 judicious changes of coach Marc Colla, played their worst game of the competition. Exceeded in the first period, the Grenadiers have conceded a goal by Simon Dawkins to the 13' minutes [1-0], followed 7 minutes later by a second goal by Darren Mattocks (20') [2-0]. Visibly exhausted physically, our Grenadiers have failed in the second half to save their honor, crushed with a final score [2-0] by Jamaica.

With this crushing and humiliating defeat, Haiti will not participate in the "Copa America Centenario 2016" in the USA. The Grenadiers will console themselves Tuesday, November 18 at 5:30 pm, by playing the small final against Cuba. The grand finale will be between Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.

Note that teams of Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti and Cuba are directly qualified to compete in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the USA.
