Friday, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) proceeded to the signing of two protocols with the Industrial Development Fund (FDI) and the Unit for Housing Construction and Public Buildings (UCLBP) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12364-haiti-economy-the-ministry-of-commerce-sign-4-mous.html

The MOUs signed with the FDI and UCLBP aims to enable these institutions to ensure the overall coordination of activities related to the construction of 42 Micro-Parks throughout the country and the establishment of funding mechanisms.

The first 5 Micro-Parks to emerge, will be located in Anse-Rouge, Cabaret, Camp-Perrin, Morne casse et et Saint-Raphaël.

Through this funding program, the MCI will help the grouping of small businesses of a zone, that perform the same activity and provide a framework for better structuring and management of these companies. Ultimately, 20,000 businesses will be involved and will benefit each of financial assistance from the Treasury through partner institutions. This assistance will be based on the characteristics of each business. The construction of first 5 Micro-Park is estimated at nearly $17 million.
