Haiti - Economy : The Ministry of Commerce sign 4 MoUs

Friday, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) proceeded to the signing of four Memoranda of Understanding with the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI), the State University of Haiti (UEH), the Industrial Development Fund (FDI) and the Unit for Housing Construction and Public Buildings (UCLBP).

With DGI, the Ministry signed a protocol that aims to coordinate the efforts of the Ministry and DGI in order to help to the formalization of 20,000 micro-enterprises (informal trade) identified from the database from the business census. This formalization is part of the Program of Support to Micro Enterprises (PSME) implemented by the Ministry.

With UEH, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum to unite their efforts, resources and knowledge to implement within the Campus Henri Christophe of Limonade, the Haitian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IHE) . IHE will be accessible to all Haitians, regardless of their academic affiliation, place of residence or their geographic origin.

The other two protocols were signed with the FDI and UCLBP.
