In a statement, Dr. Florence Guillaume, Minister of Public Health and Population (MSPP) informs that "people coming from Guinea, Liberia or Sierra Leone, or which would have stayed in these countries will be allowed to enter on the national territory within a period of 28 days from their date of exit of those countries.

Once the deadline met, these people who have visited the country above mentioned or any other country in West Africa, will be required to report to their port of landing in Haiti a health card issued by an center authorized by their government and including mandatory the blood test for Ebola.

The Ministry of Health relies on the support of all the ministries concerned with the control of ports, airports and borders to the strict application of this measure to minimize the risk of contamination by the Ebola Virus in Haiti."
