Alarmed by the excesses of all kinds attached to the graduation ceremonies, on the one hand, and taking into account the numerous requests from parents, on the other hand, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, in a circular, informs the Directors of public and non-public educational institutions that the following actions have been adopted :

"The graduation ceremonies are strictly banned for preschool classes and the three cycles of basic education ;

For the secondary level, the said ceremonies are permitted for the last class of end of secondary school (Terminale or philo).

However, school administrators may not require parents without their consent, an amount for this activity, which is not part of the teaching-learning process.

The departmental offices, through school inspections, will ensure the strict enforcement of this provision, which comes into force upon publication of this circular."
