Thursday, Me Jean Renel Sanon, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, in his capacity supervisory minister of the Central Financial Intelligence Unit (UCREF), presided over the installation ceremony at the premises of the institution, in Frères of Me Joseph Dominique Fils Baguidy, as Director General of the UCREF. He takes over from Me Jean Ostrict Hercules, whose term has expired.

"The Administration Martelly-Lamothe spares no effort when it comes to fight against illicit enrichment and money laundering derived drug trafficking," declared the Minister Sanon, underlining the trust placed in Me Baguidy by the Head of State.

For its part, the new Director Général of UCREF, thanked the highest authorities of the Executive for the trust placed in him and looked forward to the collaboration of the entire team in order to accomplish its mission, in accordance with the law of 15 February 2001, which is to support State efforts in the fight against financial crime in general.
