Wednesday in New York on the sidelines of the 69th regular session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the President Michel Martelly, met with the Executive Committee of the Americas Society/ Council of America.

The Head of State explained to this group of entrepreneurs, investors and leaders, the efforts of his administration in order to create an atmosphere conducive to investment and job creation. He also insisted on the security environment and the significant reduction of the delay for the business creation. The President also used the example of some large companies such as Digicel, to explain to his audience the many business opportunities offered by Haiti "When I say - Haiti is open for business - it is not a simple slogan. My administration has worked assiduously to create the optimum conditions for wealth creation. We have many sectors of activities untouched, just waiting to be exploited. Come, come! Haiti hands you his arms. Whether the energy sector, tourism, or the infrastructure sector, the opportunities are there."

After these fruitful exchanges, Susan Segal, President of the Executive Committee and Gregory Meeks, Democratic Representative of New York, did not fail to express their satisfaction and hae proposed to President Martelly, to arrange a meeting to encourage investment in other big states like Florida. They also promised to visit Haiti soon, as part of an exploration mission.
