Haiti - NOTICE : Renewal of the residence permit for foreigners
The Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities, reminds the foreign nationals living in the national territory that in accordance with Decree-Law of 26 December 1978 on Immigration and Emigration and more specifically its items 31, 32, 33 and 34 ; the residence permit is required and is valid for one fiscal year, from October 1 to September 30.
Accordingly, in a Notice dated September 10, 2014 "the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities urges foreigners to renew their residence permits for the year 2014-2015, with effect from 1 October 2014 Also, are they expected at the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration (DIE) at 171 Avenue John Brown (Lalue) on all working days to withdraw their permit.
The Ministry of Interior relies on the full cooperation of concerned and invites them to initiate without delay the necessary steps to ensure compliance with Haitian law, after the publication of this notice."
