Haiti - Justice : The Director General of the PNH answered questions from the judge Bélizaire

Thursday Godson Orélus, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) appeared before the investigating judge Lamarre Bélizaire https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11973-haiti-justice-the-chief-of-the-pnh-summoned-before-the-judge-belizaire.html to explain on the delay in executing the warrant issued against former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide following his absence at the notice of hearing of Judge Bélizaire.

Godson Orélus was accompanied by his lawyer Me Jean Eugène Pierre-Louis. At the end of this hearing, which lasted just over an hour and which was held behind closed doors, the Director General of the PNH told journalists "I had been invited by the investigating judge Lamarre Bélizaire, I accepted the invitation because, us, within the national police, we respect all the institutions of our country," refusing to provide any other information about the content of the hearing, adding that he had only responded to the investigating judge "about what he wanted to know..."

His lawyer, Me Jean Eugène Pierre-Louis wished to clarify that the presence of Godson Orélus was a voluntary act, because as a senior official of the state, he had no obligation to appear, saying that the response to the invitation of Judge, showed the respect of his client for the institutions.

Pour Me Newton Saint-Juste, one of Aristide's lawyer, the presence of the Head of the PNH to the judge's office, is a comedy "a scenario that was prepared well before this pseudo invitation of the judge", describing Director General of the PNH of activists "Tèt kale".
