Haiti - Culture : Recording of traditional Haitian songs disappearing

As part of the continuity of artistic creation workshops www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11855-haiti-social-the-artistic-creation-workshops-continue-successfully.html initiated by the Office of the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste, in charge of Human Rights and the Fight against Poverty Extreme, 41 young people, accompanied by their trainers, of the workshop songs of the "Kalfou Richès Peyi dAyiti" program, recorded Haitian traditional songs disappearing in the studio of Minustah-FM in the presence of the Minister came to encourage them.

"This project aims to support the integration of disadvantaged young people in several parts of the capital in activities likely to promote individual rights and better living conditions as they are, for the most part, full of talent and only need the supervision necessary to express," explained the Minister Augustus.

5 Haitian traditional songs disappearing were recorded in Creole with piano accompaniment and guitar. "My experience has been extremely rewarding and has enabled me to externalize my voice to the delight of those who listen me," said Marie Woodling Timothée, one of the singers. "During this experience, I learned a lot from my trainers in sound, music and song," added Kesnel Clercius, another participant.

Note that the Minustah through its Office of Communication and Public Information provided technical support to the "Kalfou Richès Peyi dAyiti" program, through the intervention of a technician of Minustah-FM during the training sound and Disc Jockey andby the provision of two tents to increase training space.
