Haiti - NOTICE : Call for project of Canada Fund for local initiatives (CFLI)

The Government of Canada announces the opening of the Canada Fund for local initiatives (CFLI) in Haiti for the period 2014-2015. The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives contributes to Canada’s five thematic priorities for foreign policy and adds to the programs that are already in place in Haiti.

The amount of funding for each project will vary between C$15,000 and C$35,000 Canadian (or approximately 600,000 to 1.5 million gourdes). For the moment, only projects that can provide assurance they will be completed before February 28, 2015, and that their end-of-project reports will be completed by March 13, 2015, will be accepted.

An organization that wants to receive support and funding from the CFLI will have to meet the following criteria :

  • Be legally recognized in Haiti;

  • Be a Haitian organization or a Canadian or international not-for-profit organization based in Haiti;

  • Have demonstrated expertise in the area of activity targeted;

  • Have sound knowledge of the areas targeted;

  • Demonstrate an immediate capacity to deliver.

Only project proposals received by September 12, 2014, 22 h 00 (Haiti time), will be considered with attention and if a project is selected, we will contact you for the necessary follow-up.
