The Government that reiterates its financial and logistical support to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) for the upcoming elections at the end of the year, has decided to disburse, through the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), 160 million gourdes to feed the account of the United Nations Programme for Development (UNDP), responsible for managing the multi-donor trust fund of elections.

The Head of Government, urging all parties involved in the electoral process to participate in the forthcoming elections, to consolidate the rule of law, strengthening stability, to which the Government continues to work.

A ratification at least uncertain, since according to the Senator of the opposition Wetzner Polycarp, a member of G6, the meeting scheduled in the Senate on Thursday, around the Electoral law, could not take place as planned, due to the visit of the President of the French Senate, Jean Pierre Bel [!]

In addition, increasingly observers wonder whether it is realistic to continue to believe that elections are still possible this year because of delays that continue to accumulate, the eyes fixed on the CEP that promises for very soon... a new revised electoral calendar...
