On Thursday, members of the Project Management 16/6 and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), together including Joseph Richard Pierre Duplan the Mayor of Port-au-Prince, proceeded to the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the construction of a community complex in Canapé-Vert, the fifth after that of Nérette, Envy, Morne Hercule and Morne Lazare (under construction), where the 16/6 project intervenes.

The objective of this construction is to make available to representatives of 4 community platforms involved in the area, a room that may allow them to come together and perform other activities related to their function as leaders of the benefits of the community that they serve while ensuring a better functioning while being more independent.

The complex, which will also house the Boards of Directors of Communal Sections (CASEC) once completed will be fully equipped with computers and office furniture to facilitate the daily tasks of local leaders.

The construction of Community Complex of Canapé-Vert, that will begins July 28, weill last 3 months and will be carried and funded by UNDP in Haiti via the 16/6 project and supervised by the City Council.
