Haiti - Justice : Insufficiency of judges to the court of Les Cayes

Me. Peter Ezekiel Vaval, the doyen of the court of first instance of Les Cayes called authorities from the Ministry of Justice to appoint judges or transfer examining magistrates within the jurisdiction "One should have 5 judges but there are only 2 in the court of them. Jean Odilon Séide takes his leave due to disease and judge Bennit Christmas who was on leave, approximately a week ago did not present himself to the court", said Me. Vaval. [NdHL-The absence of the judge Bennit Christmas is worrying because he's in charge of the instruction of the case involving the death of about 12 prisoners in the civil prison of Les Cayes last January 19]

The human rights organizations of the Department of Cayes criticize the conduct of the Minister of Justice whom he accuses of taking no action needed to solve this situation.
