Haiti - FLASH : The Secretary of State Metellus removed from office
This morning, the General Secretariat of the Primature inform the general public that, by order of Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, approved by the President of the Republic Michel Joseph Martelly, the Secretary of State for the Economy, Mr. Alfred Metellus, was removed from office.
"The Government would like to thank Mr. Alfred Metellus for his contribution to the effort of national reconstruction," the statement said.
Recall that Mr. Alfred Metellus was appointed Secretary of State for the Economy, new position, 2 April 2014.
However the Primature did not specify the reason for the dismissal, nor who will replace him.
