Promotion of the Destination

Tuesday, a meeting of strategic orientation for the promotion of Haiti, led by Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), was held at the Ministry. Ms. Jessy Menos, the Secretary of State, Departmental Directors of the South and Southeast, respectively, Karine Conde Emeran and Dithny Joan Raton, the Director of the Unit for Studies and Programming, Andy Durosier and Jeff Lefèvre, Chargé of communication at MTIC, provided an update on the strategy of promotion of country during the summer season : tourist signs, health and safety, trails and tourist routes, enhancing the attractiveness of regions, tourist maps, country festivals. An aggressive campaign to promote the destination will be implemented in the coming days.

Tuesday, Mrs. Emilie Jessy Menos, Secretary of State for Tourism, Ms Maryse Noel Director General of MTIC, and Carl Henri Boucher, Commissioner Responsible of the Tourist Police (POLITOUR) met Ghisler Douglas, the Director General of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry regarding the allocation of a space of Ministry for POLITOUR.

Development of Saut d'Eau

On Tuesday, the Director General of MTIC met Emile Tuzayana Zola of the Digicel around the development of Saut d'Eau in the approach of the patronal feast of the area.

Press delegation in visit at MUPANAH

Tuesday, as part of efforts of MTIC to stimulate the arrival of tourists in Haiti, a press delegation specializing in travel, composed of 4 people, led by Didier Phélip, Director of "Phélip & CO" a PR company working for the Ministry of Tourism France, visited the Musée du Panthéon National Haïtien (MUPANAH).

Urban furniture : enhancement element of Jacmélien space

Tuesday as part of the project "Destination Jacmel" Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, the Departmental Director of Southeast MTIC, accompanied by her consultant Johanne Cardon met the Directorate of the Unit of Studies and Programming of MTIC and the consultant firm IBI DAA, respectively represented by Christine Stephenson and Nathalie Garnier, to understand the issues and trends of urban furniture, to collect the needs and expectations of local governments and identify areas of development envisaged. Specific ranges of street furniture (benches, trash cans, solar street lights) created by designers such as Ronald Mevs, will be implemented by the "Foyer d'Orientation et de Soutien aux Artistes Jacmeliens" (FOSAJ) and Art Creation Foundation For Children (ACFFC).
