Haiti - Tourism : Things are moving everywhere !

Important meeting on the ongoing projects in Jacmel

An important working meeting was conducted by Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, the Departmental Director of Tourism South East, in order to to monitor several projects in the town of Jacmel: finishing work on the new public market (the city has already begun the registration process for merchants for the allocation of place); restoration of Iron market; the food kiosks, without cooking, installed at the seaside boulevard and those with cooking, built on the land at the rear of the amphitheater; the projet of waste recycling and landfill. Haver participated in the meeting: Senator Edwin Zenny, the Delegate Pierre-Michel Lafontant, the Deputy Delegate of Jacmel, Jean Helson Royal Noe Adonis, the Mayor of Jacmel, Reynold Alexis, Departmental Director of Planning and External Cooperation Southeast, Christine Stephenson, of IBI Group DAA , Joaneson Lacour, Consultant in waste recycling, technicians of the Technical Office of the Historical Centre of Jacmel and executives of the Departmental Directorate Southeast.

Destinations Jacmel and Ile-à-Vache

Monday, the weekly meeting of Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries, on the projects Destinations Jacmel and Ile-à-Vache as held in the presence of the Departmental Director of the Southeast, Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, of Director of the Unit Studies and programming, Andy Durosier, the Administrative and Financial Director, Renel sinous and Consultants of Group IBI DAA. This meeting allowed to review, revise and approve projects of these destinations. The Minister has taken all necessary steps to provide solutions to the problems identified.

Extension of the runway in Jacmel Airport

Tuesday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries, Ms. Luz Cassandra Francis, his Chief of Staff, and Ms. Dithny Joan Raton his Director for the Southeast, had a working session with the Planning Directorate and Engineering of the National Airport Authority (AAN), with Engineer Yves Mozart Augustin, Specialist in Airport Infrastructure and Transport Manager for the preliminary studies on the expansion, North side, of the runway in acmel Airport, which once extended to the north, would be ready to receive the IBC carrying airline.

A request was addressed by the Ministry of Tourism to ADPI (Aéroports de Paris Engineering), a subsidiary of the Aéroports de Paris Group, which designs and develops airport platforms in the world in order to ratify the technical studies conducted in 2010 by the AAN on the runway extension towards the north and carry out feasibility studies and of development of this airport infrastructure.

In addition, there has been debate on obstacles exposed by the engineer Augustin and on the analysis of previous studies on the extension of the runway to the south.
