Haiti - Reconstruction : The Port of Petit-Goâve in operation soon

Monday, an important delegation composed of Alix Célestin, Director of National Port Authority (APN) accompanied by Erick Smarki Charles, his Deputy Director, Arsene Seide, a representative of the Customs of Port-au-Prince, of Érick Prevaut Junior, Director of Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) and several other executives, conducted an assessment visit to the Port of Petit-Goâve in the presence of Deputy Stevenson Jacques Timoléon, President of the Lower House and staff of customs Bureau of the city.

Alix Célestin announced the upcoming launch of the development work of buildings and gave full assurance that the port of Petit-Goâve will be operational at the beginning of August 2014 and that it will from that date, host boats.

Arsene Seide noted the beauty of the wharf of the city and its economic benefits for the country and especially for the commune while the Director of SEMANAH assured that this service will be reorganized in Petit-Goâve.

The Deputy Timoléon thanked President Martelly and congratulated himself of having taken steps with the government for the implementation of the project to rebuild the Port city of Petit-Goâve.
